We took a mini vacation to Galveston just the three of us before our family grows.
Jace has never been to the beach before. We were excited for him to experience it all.
My sweet friend was able to help us get a condo for the weekend for practically nothing!
Jace and I headed to the condo before Justin.
JB has had to work extra lately and was not able to take off to go when we went.
When we got to the condo Jace and I had to take a few silly pictures!
CHEESING!!!
Silly Face!
Kisses for my baby boy!
The porch of the condo looked out to the beach and seawall......it was awesome!
We were getting ready to go swimming so I stripped Jace down before putting on his bathing suit.
Silly boy loves to be naked! LOL
Happy without clothes! Such a boy!
Mama with the big ol' almost 38 week belly! Rockin' the bathing suit!
JB made it to the condo around dinner time. We went to The Spot to eat.
It was ok food but the atmosphere was great! Would have been even better if we could have chilled with a couple drinks. Well, JB had a few but it was not the same as us both getting to enjoy it.
Jace enjoyed dancing to the music :)
On the way out Jace wanted to play with the boat steering wheel!
Lounging after dinner before bed!
Saturday morning we went to IHOP for breakfast.
Jace got his FAVORITE - Pancakes!
After breakfast we went to the beach.
Jace was not too excited about the water but let us take him out a couple times.
JB and Jace playing in the waves!
Jace's favorite part was the sand.....that was AFTER he got over the feeling of being "dirty".
I was not sure he would enjoy the sand. We showed him how to put sand in the buckets and he loved it!
After the beach we went back to the pool.
Jace mainly lounged in his float and relaxed.
Then it was nap time to gear up for round 2 at the beach.
We planned to go to Moody Gardens but after thinking about it we decided that Jace should be older to enjoy that. So we saved our money and took him back to the beach :)
Jace was ready to go back to the "water"
Tried to put on his arm floaties and all!
Sunday we checked out early and needed to stop at a Babies R Us on the way home.
We were told this Babies R Us had a glider in stock that we have been looking for.
Since we got to the store before they opened we found a local park and took Jace there to play.
He loves to rock climb of any kind!
Come to find out, the Babies R Us didn't even have the glider in stock.
We were able to order it and it will be delivered to the Katy location for us.
Even though the glider was not there we still had a blast letting Jace play at the park :)
After making it home and having a nap we put Jace's pool from last year up.
I forgotten that we had kept it.
He was a little skeptical about the pool so I had to get with him at first.
He even slid down the slide into the water a few times. But he was not really into that.
He was more concerned about the grass sticking to his feet LOL
I am 38 weeks now and feeling it! Today I am feeling achy hips and I don't mind it.
However, it makes it VERY hard to walk.
Today I went to the doctor for a weekly check up.
June Bug's heartbeat was 139.
If anyone wanted to guess the sex by the heartbeat this baby sure is making it tricky!
Four weeks ago it was in the 130s, the last two weeks it was in the 150's and 160's.
I have progressed just a little bit. I am now a loose 1 cm and 50% effaced. The baby is still high.
All of this doesn't really mean much. I could dilated over 4 cms and walk around like that for WEEKS and still go past my due date. This baby will come when it wants and I really do hope its not until after 39 weeks.
I know its much healthier for the baby to cook for a long as it needs!
