It's Time to Start Planning the Party

.....for Jace's 2nd birthday! As of Saturday the 22nd, he is 18 months old!!
(YES....I NEED 6 months to plan)

I thought time flew when I got out of high school. No way, once you have children it vaporizes!

Bounce bounce bounce....

Uh oh....almost lost it....

ok.....this is better....bounce bounce bounce.....
I took Jace to the doctor on Friday and found out that his rash is in fact just eczema! Thank God!
We were given 2 presciption lotions and instructions to wash him with Dove soap, use cooler water for baths and to lotion him up all the time, you can't lotion him too much when it comes to eczema.
I am SO happy to know this is just eczema. Apparently it is VERY common in babies in the winter time.

This past weekend we went into Lexington. We have been planning on building a shop on our land. It will be much nicer when we go in to visit and have our own place to stay at. We love visiting with Dad but 800 sq ft with an 18 month old is not always relaxing. Not only that but usually there are other grandchildren visiting Dad so this will just help everyone enjoy their visits to the country :)
We had the land cleared last year but had more done to get the building spot situated.
We took Jace out there when Justin was burning some wood piles and he loved it. He saw us picking up roots and sticks in the building perimeter and started to "help". He walked around picking up sticks for about 30 minutes. It was so cute!

Here are some pictures that JB took while we were out on the land.

You put that camera up! NOW!

The stie of the future Bryan Family Retreat

Who you lookin' at??

Oh - the big camera......

Let me have it....?

I WILL get that camera!

I can't wait to be able to stay out there. Jace is going to LOVE it! We all will!

Saturday we went to the Schumperts to hang out with all of them.
Jace loves going over there and so do JB and I.
We had dinner over there and to our surprise Jace actually ate Mac N Cheese......2 helpings at that!
I started to think maybe I need to make dinner dates with other children to get Jace to eat. He eats right along with his friends. When its just mommy and daddy he likes to act like he hates all food. Grrrr......
After dinner we were talking and JB went to check on Jace in the play room. He goes in there to find Trey with blue marker all over his hands! HA! Its was so funny. Derek and Misty went in the room farther and found he had drawn on the walls. I would have thought maybe Jace did it but the marks were too high on the wall to have been done by that shorty. HEHEHEHE....its was so cute...Trey was caught blue handed. :)
Thankfully the marker was easy to wash off the wall and there was no permanent damage.

On our way home today Jace was talking and talking away!
I love to hear him talk and it makes me feel good that he is developing his verbal skills but today was almost annoying. Here is a video clip of what he pretty much did the full 90 minute ride home.

He was clapping, screaming, talking, blowing rasberries, humming, and just going off.....Part of the problem was he wanted his paci and he had thrown it. I have come to the comnclusion that I KNOW he doesn't need it and when and if he throws it then he loses it. He will learn.

I went back to using the powder packets of Sabril this weekend and just as I thought....he had more seizures! I switched Saturday morning but I didn't see the increase until today. When he is on the pills he has 1/2 as many seizures and they are not as intense. Today he had about 6 seizures and they were longer and intense again.
I plan to call his epileptologist tomorrow morning to tell her this and see if we can get his prescription written for pills rather than the powder packets.

And more pictures just for fun...and cuteness! :)

You woke me up for this?? Seriously? Its 5:45 am!

Go away mommy.....I don't wanna take this now

Do we HAVE to do the picture now?

Uh Oh Spaghetti - O

*Pause music on left sidebar before watching video*

First off.....only one seizures today!!! WOOHOO! At least only one that was seen.

I posted last week about a rash that Jace has. He still has it and although it is not getting way worse it certainly is NOT getting better. It has gotten worse on his stomach but the back is the same. I am so boggled over this rash. The lotion used for eczema is not working and it get pretty red when he takes a warm bath/shower. I would think maybe heat rash but he doesn't sweat.....and would a heat rash last 3 weeks?!?!?
Here is a picture of the rash....I am calling the pedi tomorrow to see what they think. I just PRAY it isn't a reaction to any of his meds since it can affect his liver and other internal organs.....sometimes the first sign is a rash. That really concerns me.

After posting on Facebook about Jace not eating my food at home he made me a liar!
He must have a FB account somewhere and was like "I am going to prove her wrong! Watch!" HA!
He has gobbled down his dinner all week. He was eating as if we never offer him food!
Although he is still somewhat picky about what he eats he is at least eating something.

I decided to be a little creative since he stopped eating his veggies so well like he used to. (Yeah I was THAT mom that always bragged about how he would eat his veggies and now he is making me eat my words). So, I know that he will not touch a noodle normally so putting pureed veggies on to noodles like you would spaghetti wouldn't work. BUT I knew that he would eat almost ANYTHING on a slice of bread.
I took a jar of baby food peas and spread it all over a slice of bread, gave him pieces, and he scarfed it down! He seemed to like the Pea Sandwich. At least with this maybe I can get him accustomed to the flavor of veggies again.

Since I still had some peas left I gave him that again tonight. I also put some beans on his plate that he would touch tonight. That is ok because when I was eating some left over spaghetti he was pointing at it like he wanted it. I put some on his plate and he ate it. I think he ate more of my dinner than I did. HA!

I was thinking tonight about how easy we have it when it comes to taking his medicine (please don't make me eat my words again!) twice a day. He gladly takes them like they taste good. I think the main reason for this is that he really only had milk or water given to him to drink. So to get juice it must be a treat to him. Up until recently I would hardly ever offer him juice. I just didn't want to deal with him one day throwing a fit for a sugary drink when he really needs water. I have recently bought some V8 fusion that I offer him at dinner if he hadn't eaten any veggies at daycare or at dinner.
Anyway here is Jace gladly taking his medicine, eating spaghetti and his pea sandwich. :)

Ok....I think I like this

C'mere noodle....get in my BELLY!

More??

Please......now?
What a mess? Glad we have Lil Bit who loves to clean up after him.

This is the Stuff

*Pause music on left sidebar before watching videos*

I heard this song on the radio on the way to work today and thought it was SO truthful!
I love Francesca Battistelli! Her songs are always feel good songs and all about life.

Also, I want to urge anyone that owns or works at a company that would be interested in helping out children with Song of Love to watch this next video:
"Raising Funds, Raising Voices"! is a special program which enables corporations and other groups to help Songs of Love financially and creatively. As a bonus to a group's fundraising efforts on their behalf, Songs of Love staff have been holding on-site recording sessions with our portable studio. People across the country are becoming instant "recording artists" as they all sing on these guaranteed "hit " songs of love!

I have already approached Mustang Engineering, where JB and I work, about this opportunity. I really hope they join in on the "Raising Funds, Raising Voices" Program.

I am still working on getting Jace's song up on the blog but until then check out this great program. You do not have to be a company to donate. Individuals can do so as well.

Jace had no seizures today that we have seen! This GREAT news! I am going to continue with the pill form of his Sabril until this weekend. Then this weekend I will use the powder satchels and see if there is a change.

The Pill vs. The Powder

Phase I Evaluation: Day 3

Jace had his MEG scan and MRI today. He had to be sedated for both so they made them two back to back. I hate seeing him sedated but I am glad they can do that so he isn't so tortured by the big machines and tests they run.

Talking up a storm while waiting for his MEG scan
The MEG scan and MRI took a total of 4 hours!! I hate knowing he had to be under for that long but he came through fine. He needed the sleep anyway. They sedation they used on him only basically put him in a deep sleep. It was not the anesthesia where they would have to hook him up to a breathing machine (like they do for surgeries) and he could breath on his own. He did wake up a few times in the tests but the anesthesiologist quickly boostered the sedation to put him back out.
When Jace was in recovery he woke only enough to drink some apple juice then was back out for another hour +. Finally he woke up at 6 and ate dinner. He was STARVING! His last meal was at 8 pm last night.

He is such a little trooper!
After dinner we were discharged. Once we set the stroller up Jace was BEGGING to get in it!
Poor guy was ready to get home!

We have to make an appointment with Dr. Von Allmen in 4 weeks to get the results of everything. I was told incorrectly on Tuesday when he said we would know if he was a candidate or not.

Once we made it home Jace was playing and must had gotten anxious about Christmas!

Our poor tree got the wrath of Jace! He sure is ALL BOY!

I knew I should have used fishing line to secure it
Well I am going to bed! I hope to sleep better tonight than I did last night.

Phase I Evaluation: Day 2 Part 2

The rest of the day went pretty smoothly.
Jace is sound asleep right now and went down at his normal bedtime.
Hopefully he sleeps as well as he normally does too.
Poor guy was tortured before bedtime though. They flush his IV twice a day here and just like in the past his IVs start to leak at the site. If it can't be save they have to remove it and start another one elsewhere. Well, after attempting to "save" the IV they ultimately pulled it out and said they would be back to start another one. Wait a minute - this child who is *THIS* close to going to bed for the night is going be woken up for another IV torture fest? I was not looking forward to that. Thankfully, a lady from anesthesia came in to get me to sign consent forms for his MRI and MEG scan tomorrow. She told me they could put him to sleep with gas THEN start an IV. There would be no fighting, no torture, and a much happier baby and mommy. I still do not know why they don't do this to start with. It's one thing if they need the IV for meds but if its JUST to get an MRI or other scan done then why not start it right before the procedure? I guess I will never fully understand hospital's methods.

The way this monitoring unit works is every time Jace has a seizure I have to push a button which sets off an alarm to the nurses station. Usually a nurse or two come running in and someone answers over the speaker on the wall. They ask to have him facing the camera so they can see what he is doing at the moment to go with the EEG info. The nurse said that Dr. Von Allmen mentioned to him that when I push the button the seizure had already happened by that point and what we are mainly seeing is the postictal state (after seizure affects - confusion, fogginess, etc). His seizures are only lasting 10-15 seconds and then he enters that postictal state. We obviously are not really catching the seizures and its the confusion/fog afterwards that clues us into that he had one. What is great about this is that the seizures are not 4 mins long like I have been thinking but the bad is that they are still occurring multiple times a day. I am guessing there are some we are not catching either since not ALL seizures have to end in a postictal state that is so obvious.
It appears that the doctor is happy with the amount of information they have received from the EEG. Now we just need to do the MEG scan and hope that it matches up with the EEG findings. (Magnetoencephalography, or MEG scan, is an imaging technique that identifies brain activity and measures small magnetic fields produced in the brain. The scan is used to produce a magnetic source image to pinpoint the source of seizures. Magnetic fields are detected by extremely sensitive devices called "super conducting detectors and amplifiers," also known as SQUIDs. The scanner, used to detect and amplify magnetic signals produced by the brain, doesn't emit radiation or magnetic fields.)
They will also do his MRI tomorrow - I am guessing this is to make sure there are no new findings since October and also that the Sabril hasn't caused any changes either (a side effect).
The lady from anesthesia said he is "scheduled" for 9:30 am. This can mean anywhere from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm since he can easily get bumped for emergencies and such. That's all fine and dandy but since he has to be sedated he can't eat anything past midnight. Might as well say nothing past 7:30 pm because I am not waking him right before midnight to give him something to eat. If he wakes up before midnight for some reason I will offer him some milk or water since he won't even be allowed that until after the scans.

I am praying tomorrow goes smoothly for all parties involved - but especially for Jace. Poor guy is just a baby and its unfortunate he really doesn't know any different. I hate that he is almost used to the metal hospital cribs and likes "Topper", the green giraffe they give out to every child that comes to the hospital. I hate that we have so many "Toppers" that I think we can start a collection. I hate that we see some people that work here they remember us. I hate that we have to do this so often. While we are on the topic.....I hate these rooms. This is what our temporary home looks like. Keep in mind we can not leave the room. Jace is hooked up to the wall and can reach the door but no farther. I can leave but only for a second or two to get his milk from the fridge or to refill our water jug.

I call that the Monkey Cage!

Blankets hung up to help darken the room at night - its still bright even with them up!
I forgot to mention about yesterday's visitors. First off we had JB's brother, Nathan, stop by. Jace was SO excited to see him! It was hilarious the way he got all excited when he saw his face. Nathan usually visits us when we are here since he works in the area. Its great to have that familiar face around and to have someone that cares right around the corner if you need something.
We are blessed to have supportive family and friends!

Our other visitor yesterday was a chaplain. I did not request a chaplain to come by but what a blessing that he did. It really hit me when I started to tear up and he asked me "Do you give yourself permission to cry when you are overwhelmed?" That made me think. I really don't but I need to - I have the right to have feelings and cry too. Its healthier to let it out anyway. It was great to talk to him and have reassurance that what I am going through as a mother in this situation is "normal" (what IS normal anyway?).
I got to thinking....as much as I HATE all of this and I HATE TSC.....I hate that I may have to let someone do brain surgery on our baby boy.......I know that God has a plan for all of this. If we are going through this in order to be supportive to another family going through this one day and maybe lead someone to Christ through our journey then I open my arms to all of this.

Yestreday, I met a mother, Lindsey, of a 20 month old boy, Peyton. She said he son was 5 months old when he started with his seizures. He caught the Herpes virus that causes cold sores (not the STD) and it traveled to his brain. From there it caused encephalitis resulting in seizures and major delays. She had him at the hospital in Dallas where they told her that even though the seizures are focal they can't call him a surgical candidate. That is when she decided to get a second opinion with better tests here in Houston. We welcome her here and I hope she gets MUCH better care here for her baby boy than she did in Dallas.
Its so mind boggling how you can easily have the healthiest of children and in a blink of an eye their worlds are turned upside down. I do not blame any mother for being overly cautious with germs and people touching their kids. As rare as it is for a virus to travel to the brain - it is still scary and CAN happen.

Earlier I put in Jace's Baby Praise DVD since the ONLY thing on was Sponge Bob (HATE that cartoon!)
I am glad JB reminded me to grab a few DVDs because I would have gone insane if Sponge Bob had to be on. As soon as I got the DVD in and it started Jace was glued! I am not sure if its the voice, the pictures or what but he loves that DVD. I don't mind because I love the songs myself and could watch/listen to it over and over again.

Phase I Evaluation: Day 1

*pause the music in the left sidebar before watching videos*

We had to check in at 7:30 this morning. This means we had to leave the house by 6 am which means I had to wake Jace up at 5:30ish. He has not had or wanted to wake up that early since October! He did very well dealing with the early wake up call on top of not being able to eat until almost 10 am. We were not sure if he was going to get his MRI done today. The MRI requires sedation for a child his age so they don't want anything on his tummy when sedated. Luckily we will do the MRI at the end of this stay and we were not put through the no eating rule any longer than needed today.

Leaving the house today I realized there are only 18 more days left until Christmas!! WOW!!

You would think waking up that early would cause Jace to want to nap more.....nope! Not him! He took one nap earlier and fought ALL day with me for the 2nd nap. I FINALLY got him to nap at 5 pm after they brought me a rocking chair. Hey - he knows how he likes to be put to sleep.....can't fault him for that huh?

The nap was great timing too since I have started with a migraine. I hardly EVER get migraines. They occur at most 3-4 times a year for me and thats a max! Luckily I keep JB's migraine meds in my purse for when they happen to him on random occasions and so I was able to take something that would actually work. Tylenol and Advil are a joke when you have a migraine!

Jace did great getting the EEG hooked up. They "swaddled" him and that helped quite a bit!

Proud Momma that he was such a trooper!

I always said that Jace looked like a Scuba Diver with the EEG hooked up but I finally figured out what he REALLY looks like........a SNORK!
Ok some of you may not remember this cartoon, either because you are too young or too old, so I added a picture of what the Snorks look like!

Ok.....back from a break since Jace decided to only nap for 30 mins earlier and then bed time took 3 hours! Its almost 11 pm and I am exhausted. Both Jace and I had tears at bedtime and finally he is exhausted enough to be out....AND snoring!

Playing the piano for Mommy

Here is a clip I caught of Jace earlier today playing. You can see how far he is "allowed" to venture while hooked up to the EEG. Also, he is being pretty silly as usual!

The "Big Brother" camera that follows Jace in the room all day and night
I was trying to get Jace down for bed and at first he was trying very hard. Closing his eyes and laying there but then the sillies got a hold of him! He would just sit up and start giggling at me so I couldn't help but laugh too which just added flame to the fire. He is such a little performer now. After tonight I have realized how much he tries to get you to laugh or smile at him. Its hard to be so mad about looking back at it. His personality is shining through and part of that is he enjoys making people smile and laugh. How can I be frustrated at that?

Here is a little of what he was doing at bed time.....we were just giggling at each other.

I sent that video to JB and he was like "well at least he is in a good mood." That was very true until the last hour before he pasted out. That was a lot of crying (from both of us for no real good reason beside tiredness) and being restless. I wish it were that easy to just think oh he is in a great mood because I know exactly where this will all end up at some point. Either later he will become a monster OR tomorrow after he wakes up at the crack of dawn he will become a monster........either way its not a good outcome.
I just have to remember to breathe.......and keep in mind that we are here with purpose. Greater purpose than we probably know. I know God is putting us through this for a reason!
I am so tired I doubt I will be making much sense now but I am going to finish this post :)

They had to start an IV today. This is needed since the MEG scan and the MRI will require sedation, but also if he needs emergency meds to get him out of a seizure they prefer to use IV form.
It took them three tries to get him an IV started. I am not so sure its because he is a hard stick as it is that they are not really use to starting IVs in such young children here.
They 2nd attempt they did get an IV in his arm but that artery blew (yep - going to be a pretty big ol' blue bruise I am sure) so they had to put one in his foot. He is still able to walk and play. Its actually easier because I can put a sock on his foot and outta sight outta mind - no playing with the IV port. He did manage to get a kink in it earlier and noticed it when they flushed it. They had to mess with it, re tape it and that sent him into a tizzy. This was when I was trying to get him to sleep after an hour so I thought maybe after he was upset over that it would help him sleep......nope. He STILL tried to do funny stuff until that last hour.

Ok - Willie Wetworth is starting to stir.....I better turn off this computer before the light gets him all wound up again!

*Willie Wetworth: An orange-skinned infant, male Snork. Even though Junior picks on him, Willie looks up to his big brother, Junior. He is the opposite of Junior - nice, friendly, generous, and well liked by all. He is friends with Smallstar. Takes after Grandpa Wetworth

Looks Like a Normal Kid But....

"He looks like a normal kid but he just has seizures"
This is what the neurologist told us today. She said the EEG still showed spikes just as it did in the past but the background is cleaned up very well. This means his brain is able to function properly MOST of the time making it possible for him to be like a normal kid. She said watching him that he looked just like her 15 month old so developmentally he seems to be on track.
She said its great that he says 3 words (regularly) at this age - I have been concerned about this.
We just wish he would say Dada again......I miss hearing that from him. It was always such a sweet sound!

She wants us to return next Wednesday to see her. However, if he is still doing as well next week as he is this week I think we will cancel that one and reschedule for the next for (for just in case). The parking at the Med Center can get very expensive! We still have to go there next week to the TSC clinic and see the geneticist on Tuesday. I hope that is the only trip we have to make there next week.

I was told the major signs to look for with Jace is ataxia - or basically walking like a drunk person, loss of tone, stumbley, etc.....you get the picture. He was like that until we started the Sabril. She said we would notice him not being himself well before the ataxia started BUT that once the ataxia starts we for sure needs to be concerned. Its good to know more signs to look for other than being cranky, sleepy and refluxing.

OH that's another thing! She is pretty sure that his refluxing is all intertwined with the seizures. Since he normally refluxes shortly before or after seizures they are more than likely correlated. I pretty much KNEW this but I thought it was more in line with the status epilepticus he could be in. After the past week I have come to see that he refluxes often with seizures and even more often when he is sleepy and has an episode.

I am getting ready to go to sleep now......Its been a busy day!
Good night!

Duty Calls to Share the Humor in Call of Duty

So I HAVE to share some of the funniest things about Justin.
He occasionally enjoys playing the new Call of Duty games when they come out....the best part of this is watching him play the game. He moves his head while playing the game as if he were actually trying to look around the corners or over a ledge.
Here is a short example of this:

The doctor's office finally called me with the information about Jace's EEG from last week.
It showed only a slight improvement from when he was last in the hospital and there was nothing on there that surprised anyone. This is partly good but also not good.....I was hoping for GREAT improvement with the Sabril being added since the hospital stay. The good part is that he was not showing in status.......the day AFTER we thought he was in status! UGH what an ER FAIL! They should have ordered a STAT EEG when I brought him in......not for the next day! Oh well, live and learn right? All I know is that he is still developmentally ok (not regressing) but has had an increase in the number of seizures. I have been logging them religiously on SeizureTracker.com and will have a report to print out for the doctor to look over.
We have his weekly neurology appointment tomorrow so I should have more info and other options to help control the seizures - hopefully!

I LOVE coming home to my smiley, sweet, cuddly, adorable baby boy! Even when his poor little teeth hurt him he is still happy as ever to see his daddy or me come home!
Favorite Bedtime Activity
My favorite part of Jace's bedtime routine - sitting on the floor and rocking him to sleep as he plays with my hair! What a sweet angel!

Bub-bub-Bubbles!!!

Following in his Daddy's footsteps

I caught a clip of Jace saying "bubble" when I was blowing bubbles for him. He has said this word for a while but I finally decided to catch it on video :)
He LOVES LOVES LOVES bubbles! Bubbles and the swing are my go to when he is fussy or bored. He also asks for bubbles sometimes. :)

I wanted to share the difference or improvement in Jace's seizures.
They used to be head drops with his eyes rolling upward and now they are just staring spells.

As simple and small these head drops look they are not simple and small in the damage they could/did do:

A week after starting the Sabril we stopped seeing head drops
(besides last week when my mom saw one episode of 3 head drops)

His seizures now look like this:
We can tell he is in one because its like he just checks out...he can sometimes still follow commands or respond to us. I think it just all depends on how bad of the episode he is having at the moment.

To anyone who does not spend most of the day with Jace, everyday, these could be easily dismissed. Also if you do not closely watch him all the time they can be missed. I am sure that JB and I have missed episodes before. Its nearly impossible to watch Jace like a hawk 24/7. I wish that we could.

I thought I would share what Jace's episodes look like for those that were curious.
Speaking of, today so far has been MUCH better than yesterday. I think this possible teething issue happening seems to flare up his episodes or it could just be perfect timing. We will see as the time goes.

All I know is every nap and every night lately has been a fight. He will start to fall asleep then wake up screaming - not wanting to be held and not wanting to be put down either. I miss my sweet baby boy that loves falling asleep in your arms without a fight. Last night and today I gave him Baby Orajel when he was fighting sleep and it seemed to help. I know its VERY early for 2 year molars but I am thinking he is starting on them. He has gotten all his other teeth early and quickly.

Its a rough phase but this too shall pass!

RIP Jeri Foster

I am sad to announce that a dear friend and coworker lost her battle with cancer last week. She had been battling and winning her fight but the chemo proved too tough on her liver. It was a surprise to us all how quick she left. Her funeral was today and I had intentions of going right up until 5 mins before I had to leave. Between the doctor visits that morning, Jace being a little toot, being unsure which vehicle I was taking for the weekend and the overall stress of the current happenings I had to cancel going to the funeral. I REALLY wish I could have made it there. Jeri taught all of us girls how to crochet and was ALWAYS there for use without judgement. She was the strongest woman I knew who cared for everyone but herself.
Jeri will truly be missed forever by me and I ask for everyone to please pray for the peace of family.
RIP Jeri Foster - I know you are enjoying being back with your husband again! - Always in my Heart!

They just decided today they want us in weekly. We do not know about the EEG results yet but he looks better now (we increased vigabatrin to his max after ER visit).
Lately the pattern has been that he does great for 2-3 days after an increase then staring spells increase and he is not himself until we increase again. We have reached the max dose for his vigabatrin so the doctor wants us in weekly and we may have to play the medication game for a while. His body/brain is too "smart" and adjusts to the meds quickly. It'll be a medications roller coaster until we get Phase 1 started and hopefully remove the tuber.

We should hear from his doctor on Monday with the EEG results.
She also mentioned that we should expect, just to be cautious, that things may get worse before possible surgery. I pray that nothing gets worse and it only improves from here on out.
However, it is nice to be seen by his doctor weekly. This really does help with having a better peace of mind.

Jace has been teething his last "canine" tooth and it seems to be giving him - and us a hassle!
For snack today I gave him a plum....he LOVED it and devoured it! LOL

Here is the beginning of the plum devouring

And this is after the mutilation of that poor plum

Jace did the cutest thing today - he was dancing with this toy Scout!

Time for a Haircut?

We had the EEG today and I hope that things are not what I fear.
I am pretty sure that everything will be ok with today's EEG.
I really wish that they would have done the EEG yesterday.
To get this EEG done was almost an act of congress. I am glad it is over and done with.
It was a long, busy and VERY frustrating day. We were not told what time the EEG was until almost 2 pm and we had to be there by no later than 3 pm. By the time my mom got to my work to pick me up and we got to the hospital it was 2:50. After the admitting staff took ages to get us checked in I was getting livid. From my understanding we HAD to be at the EEG department before 3 and no later. Once speaking to the EEG techs I found out that not only were they not too upset that we were running behind but that they didn't know why we didn't get an EEG done yesterday in the ER.

We have an appointment with his neurologist tomorrow morning at 8 am.
We should know how the EEG went by then - I HOPE!

Jace was VERY cranky on the way home today - this was NOT good since we were stuck in 5pm traffic on 290! YUCK! No FUN! Needless to say I was FRAZZLED by the time I got home!
Jace was much happier when we got home.

I had to snap a shot of Jace's hair when he was in his bath.
Look how LONG it is! I think we are about due for a haircut!

Time for a haircut?

Thank God it looks way shorter when it dries!
Jace must have hit a growth spurt recently. He is for sure in 18 month clothes, even in pants.
The length is a LITTLE long but for the most part fit him.
Where is my BABY going?
