Leaps of Fun!

On Saturday, We had a playdate with Nathan at the Children's Museum!
This was Nathan's first time at the museum....they both LOVED it!
Silly Cheese Face!

Riding in the Truck

Jace wanted to stack the blocks as tall as he could......

Then CHEER with each addition to the stack....YAY!!!!

After some playing inside we went outside to ride on the trikes.

I put a helmet on Jace's and got an unsure cheese LOL

The  next day we went to play at the park in the afternoon. We told Jace we were taking him to the park and he wanted to go to the backyard so bad. He didn't quite understand what the park was.
I think after this visit he will remember and get it when we say "lets go to the park!!" :)

Checking out the net jungle gym

Starting out on the "smaller" rock climbing wall

Succeed that.......now on to the bigger rock climbing feat!

He did it....with Daddy's help!

Quick playground pose!

Strong man!! :)

This week marks week 26....this baby has grown SO much in the past 2 weeks.

Tuesday night when we got home I noticed I left Jace's cup in the car. I ran outside to get it and come back to the door....its locked! I run to the back to see if the extra key was out there and it wasn't! Every window was locked.....every door.....the house is SECURE! I go back to the front and knock and ring the doorbell hoping I can get Jace to MAYBE unlock it.........then I hear a crash and his CRYING!!! I was frantic!
I ran across the street to the neighbors house - not home........ran down the street to another neighbors and ask to use their cell phone. I call JB to see if he was close to home (unlikely since he works out in Katy after work), to tell him what happened and to be sure it was ok that I "break" into the house.

He said break in so with my neighbor's help we broke the back door window. It was a 9 panel window and originally had hoped to break just one panel, reach in to unlock the lock, and get in. After looking at it the glass was all one piece then there was another piece on the other side of the "panels".
After some pretty hard hits with a hammer my neighbor busted through both of the glasses.
Jace came walking to the back door - he was pretty startled at what he just seen but didn't freak because he saw me. There was glass EVERYWHERE!!

My neighbor's wife and sister in law started to sweep and clean up the glass while I checked over Jace. I didn't see blood or any bumps on him. I tried to figure out where he fell from. I went to the bathroom and noticed his stool was moved, the water (both hot and cold was on), his toothbrush sitting next to the sink and his candy jar (for potty training) was moved forward.
He must have been brushing his teeth and was either startled or trying to come to the door too quickly when I was ringing the bell and knocking to get his attention. It looks like he fell right off his stool.
The past weekend he has been disappearing in the bathroom to brush his teeth. He loves to do that!
In the bathroom I did see a little tiny smear of blood on the ground and on the edge of the bathroom counter.
I put him in his booster chair to watch TV while I helped clean most of the glass up and then fed him dinner. He ate fine so I don't think he had any injuries to his mouth that were bad.
After dinner and JB got home we got Jace ready for bed. Before that we made sure to show that the locks on the doors were "no-no's" - at least for his age now.
Getting him ready for bed I saw a few marks that were not there earlier when I checked him over.
The spots on his legs worried me the most.......they looked like bites but they were on both legs.
One on the inner (in pic) and one on the outter.........come to find out the next morning they WERE just mosquito bites! Still unsettling to see marks like that when you know he feel from his stool.

Its hard to tell in his picture but the right side was swollen some.

I am SO glad he did not fall and hit the left side where his surgery was!!
But that is ALL I could think about while I was trying to get into the house.
I couldn't even shake that fear after the whole ordeal. I had trouble falling asleep!
I kept thinking over and over how bad this could  have been. I felt and still do feel terrible about it.
The next day his head was a little swollen but it was not really of concern.

An extra key has been hidden and when I go out to the car I am sure to have my keys in hand.
I NEVER want to experience that fear again!

Today Jace went to his first dentist appointment!
He did great! He didn't let them clean his teeth.
He did let the dentist count his teeth and put fluoride treatment on them!

Watching TV waiting for his turn with the dentist!

Pediatric dentist offices really are what they are cracked up to be!
They know how to handle the little ones. They don't force anything they don't want to do and make it nothing but a pleasant experience!

I think Jace enjoyed it more than anything - who enjoys going to the dentist!?!? LOL
They said that his spacing, the color, strength and alignment all looked great!
He has one spot on the right that has a tendency to cross bite. It does not mean anything right now since he is so young. It is something that can either fix itself or become worse but we won't know until he is like 8-9.

Pointing to his teeth!
This Mama was so proud of him!

Our "Leap Day Week" was filled with fun and falls!
Happy Leap Day!
