Leaps of Fun!

On Saturday, We had a playdate with Nathan at the Children's Museum!
This was Nathan's first time at the museum....they both LOVED it!
Silly Cheese Face!

Riding in the Truck

Jace wanted to stack the blocks as tall as he could......

Then CHEER with each addition to the stack....YAY!!!!

After some playing inside we went outside to ride on the trikes.

I put a helmet on Jace's and got an unsure cheese LOL

The  next day we went to play at the park in the afternoon. We told Jace we were taking him to the park and he wanted to go to the backyard so bad. He didn't quite understand what the park was.
I think after this visit he will remember and get it when we say "lets go to the park!!" :)

Checking out the net jungle gym

Starting out on the "smaller" rock climbing wall

Succeed that.......now on to the bigger rock climbing feat!

He did it....with Daddy's help!

Quick playground pose!

Strong man!! :)

This week marks week 26....this baby has grown SO much in the past 2 weeks.

Tuesday night when we got home I noticed I left Jace's cup in the car. I ran outside to get it and come back to the door....its locked! I run to the back to see if the extra key was out there and it wasn't! Every window was locked.....every door.....the house is SECURE! I go back to the front and knock and ring the doorbell hoping I can get Jace to MAYBE unlock it.........then I hear a crash and his CRYING!!! I was frantic!
I ran across the street to the neighbors house - not home........ran down the street to another neighbors and ask to use their cell phone. I call JB to see if he was close to home (unlikely since he works out in Katy after work), to tell him what happened and to be sure it was ok that I "break" into the house.

He said break in so with my neighbor's help we broke the back door window. It was a 9 panel window and originally had hoped to break just one panel, reach in to unlock the lock, and get in. After looking at it the glass was all one piece then there was another piece on the other side of the "panels".
After some pretty hard hits with a hammer my neighbor busted through both of the glasses.
Jace came walking to the back door - he was pretty startled at what he just seen but didn't freak because he saw me. There was glass EVERYWHERE!!

My neighbor's wife and sister in law started to sweep and clean up the glass while I checked over Jace. I didn't see blood or any bumps on him. I tried to figure out where he fell from. I went to the bathroom and noticed his stool was moved, the water (both hot and cold was on), his toothbrush sitting next to the sink and his candy jar (for potty training) was moved forward.
He must have been brushing his teeth and was either startled or trying to come to the door too quickly when I was ringing the bell and knocking to get his attention. It looks like he fell right off his stool.
The past weekend he has been disappearing in the bathroom to brush his teeth. He loves to do that!
In the bathroom I did see a little tiny smear of blood on the ground and on the edge of the bathroom counter.
I put him in his booster chair to watch TV while I helped clean most of the glass up and then fed him dinner. He ate fine so I don't think he had any injuries to his mouth that were bad.
After dinner and JB got home we got Jace ready for bed. Before that we made sure to show that the locks on the doors were "no-no's" - at least for his age now.
Getting him ready for bed I saw a few marks that were not there earlier when I checked him over.
The spots on his legs worried me the most.......they looked like bites but they were on both legs.
One on the inner (in pic) and one on the outter.........come to find out the next morning they WERE just mosquito bites! Still unsettling to see marks like that when you know he feel from his stool.

Its hard to tell in his picture but the right side was swollen some.

I am SO glad he did not fall and hit the left side where his surgery was!!
But that is ALL I could think about while I was trying to get into the house.
I couldn't even shake that fear after the whole ordeal. I had trouble falling asleep!
I kept thinking over and over how bad this could  have been. I felt and still do feel terrible about it.
The next day his head was a little swollen but it was not really of concern.

An extra key has been hidden and when I go out to the car I am sure to have my keys in hand.
I NEVER want to experience that fear again!

Today Jace went to his first dentist appointment!
He did great! He didn't let them clean his teeth.
He did let the dentist count his teeth and put fluoride treatment on them!

Watching TV waiting for his turn with the dentist!

Pediatric dentist offices really are what they are cracked up to be!
They know how to handle the little ones. They don't force anything they don't want to do and make it nothing but a pleasant experience!

I think Jace enjoyed it more than anything - who enjoys going to the dentist!?!? LOL
They said that his spacing, the color, strength and alignment all looked great!
He has one spot on the right that has a tendency to cross bite. It does not mean anything right now since he is so young. It is something that can either fix itself or become worse but we won't know until he is like 8-9.

Pointing to his teeth!
This Mama was so proud of him!

Our "Leap Day Week" was filled with fun and falls!
Happy Leap Day!

Super Valentine's Day!

Potty training has been going well! Today Jace actually pooped in the potty! YAY!!!!!
He was VERY freaked out about which was kind of funny but he did it!!!
He still doesn't quite tell us when he needs to go all the time but he is getting there.

I made Jace's Valentine shirt - I love it because it can be worn more than just on Valentine's Day!

Such a sweet valentine!

I saw some cute super hero valentines on Pinterest.

This pregnancy seems to be flying by!
Already 24 weeks!

Jace said the other day "Bebe in der" and pointed to my belly.
That took me by surprise! :) Maybe he kind of gets it?
Then he proceeded to sit on me and play with my belly LOL

Yesterday some family from Louisiana came to visit.
It was great to see everyone! Some I had not seen since I was pregnant with Jace!
They also brought some King Cake! YUM!!!!!

Jace and Pawpaw playing while Sara watched.

John John finally got to meet Baby Jace! :)
They had a little dance off

Saying bye to John John and the rest of the family.

Big [Boy] Changes!

There are some big changes going on in the Bryan Household!
Jace is becoming a big boy along with other big opportunities that are happening!
Will you please keep these big changes in your prayers? God knows what is going on and we just want Him to help guide us to the right choice.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

After talking and discussing with Jace's daycare with JB we decided to start potty training Jace.
The only sign he seemed to not show was telling us he was going to teetee or poop. However, when its almost time for bed and he hasn't pooped we can tell him to go poop and he will. So we knew he was pretty much ready to start.

We have been putting Jace on the potty to teetee before bed for quite some time now. He always enjoyed using th big boy potty and knew he was supposed to go on there before bed.

To prepare the for venture we went and bought some Toy Story 3 Underwear, Smarties and Hershey Kisses. I also picked up some training pants that were just like thicker underwear for daycare. My friend Latisha gave us a couple of the plastic training pants that her son was not impressed with. They are bulky and just over sized. They do contain more than the other "training pants" that just have a thicker lining.

Friday when we got home we stripped Jace down and put him in his big boy underwear. He LOVED the Buzz underwear! :)

That first night we had 2 accidents - one of which was poop so that's a given. We knew not to really expect him to catch on to the poop part yet.

Saturday went well as well. Again there were only 2 accidents - one of them being poop.
We even went out to a couple stores and he did well teeteeing on other toilets out and about.
The first accident was on the way home from the stores.
Thankfully I put a towel under him in the car seat and he him in the thicker underwear (not the plastic ones).

Thats one cute tush!
He looks more and more like a little boy in his big boy underwear!
Its so bittersweet! I am excited to get him mostly out of diapers before June Bug comes but this means that my baby boy is growing up! :(

Sunday was a great day too........only 2 accidents again - one being poop!
We even went to church, out to eat then to Academy. No accidents while we were out!!!
Talk about some proud parents!
That evening while we let him run around naked he even told me "teetee" and so I took him and he went!
That was the one and only time he told me. I think the naked thing may have something to do with it.
Like he is more aware of the signals he gets when he need to pee than when he has underwear on.

Can't resist the cute bare bottom pictures!

Daddy's boots.......Hat......and the cutest butt ever!

AT daycare today Jace had NO accidents!!! GO BIG BOY!!!
We are so proud of him!
He did have to change clothes because he didn't "tuck" his teetee in the toilet enough and peed on his pants.
We will take that! However - note to self  - send other shoes with him to school. Poor guy was in socks all day because the pee got on his shoes. :(

While it was rainy and we didn't have much to do outside the house I took the opportunity to make Jace's Valentine's Day Shirt.....

Can you guess what it says?

I was going back and forth on his shirt....I wanted to make something cute but also wanted something that he could wear longer than just Valentine's Day.

My first idea was something like this:

BUT I ended up going with this:

Have I ever mentioned how much I love my Silhouette!?
Its pretty much one of the best things ever!

Today when I woke up I had blind spots - like the kind you get when you look at a bright light. I really thought it was originally from looking at the video monitor when I first woke up because it is bright. But when the spots didn't go away and changed areas about 10 minutes later I got worried. I checked my blood pressure and it was fine - actually low (97/74). I was baffled....my head was hurting a little bit but nothing that painful. By the time I was eating breakfast my vision was better but my head still hurt. As I was driving Jace to school my head really started to hurt. I was thinking this is a migraine YUCK!
I still went into work, I wanted to call my OB and let her know what happened and I didn't want to go home to happen to have to come back to Katy later. I called and they told me to try a Tylenol and water then call back in an hour. It took some of the edge off my headache but not completely. After lunch I decided it was time for me to get home and sleep. My head was not hurting NEAR like it was when I first got in but it was enough to be annoying. I got home and checked my BP and it was fine again (100/70). So I went to nap. Dr. Cole's nurse called me after my nap and asked for me to come in tomorrow. I mentioned I had an appt for Thursday but she said to come in tomorrow anyway. So.....I will update on that later.
My head is still not great but its better. I am VERY exhausted and think I could have slept all day. I didn't in fear of not being able to sleep tonight - I hate when that happens!

Anyways - I am pretty certain this was just some weird pregnancy migraine and everything will be ok.
I will have to update later after the appointment.

We have not gotten Jace to willingly dance for a while but tonight he did it all on his own!
He was wearing his big plastic puffy training pants which probably made it THAT much cuter :)
He was dancing to his toy that is broken and just repeats over and over the starting music (ANNOYING toy but a CUTE dancer!)

And I leave this post with a handsome face for your viewing pleasure! :)
