Easter "Ted"

We spent the weekend in Lexington for Easter. The weather was perfect and it was pretty relaxing!

Jace has mastered drinking milk from the bowl after he finished his cereal :)

After breakfast it was time to help daddy cut the grass.

JB has kept the land looking GREAT!

Friday and Saturday evening we had dinner with Papa and other guests.
Jace was fixing Papa's chair with his new John Deere tools :)

Jace and Justin flew a kite on Saturday when the wind was pretty steady for the kite.

I knew what the Easter Bunny was bringing Jace for months now!
He LOVES "Ted" (Mr. Potato Head)! He runs the name together and we get Ted LOL
Actually as of today he has gotten better about trying to pronounce the name correctly.
Ted is just easier sometimes and well....its cute!
A basket built for a boy!

Cheese!!

Excited when he realized "Ted" was in the basket!

So excited to have his own "Ted"!

Easter Egg Hunting Time!!

After the egg hunt we went to take some family/maternity/Easter/Spring pictures. We used the same photographers that did our Christmas pictures, they are incredible!
http://www.brighammayfield.com/

After the pictures we headed back to Houston. We put Jace down for a nap when we got home but Jace hardly slept. He must have been too excited about "Ted" and "Esssss" (Eggs).
When he was up we had another egg hunt in our backyard then we went to the evening church service where he got to hunt MORE "Esssss" LOL

Since Easter Jace has been ALL about his "Ted"!
I probably get more excited about little stuff than a typical parent would.
I am so excited when I see him hit more developmental milestones. just because I know how bad it COULD have been had we not gotten control of the seizures.
Tonight he wanted me to come play "Ted" with him in his room...BEGGING me!
So I went in there and while playing if he has trouble getting an arm off Ted he would hand it to me and ask "Hep?" (Help). I would fix it, hand it back to him and he would tell me "Tank Jew" (Thank you)
Hearing this melts my heart! :)
He has been a little clingy this week but he has been sick. We were home yesterday with a fever. He pretty much got what he wanted - all the Buzz movie and Ted his little heart desired!

After my post last week about the contractions I did end up going into L&D. I had been having contractions on Wednesday for hours almost every 20 mins. I never had this with Jace so I was concerned. I called my OB and they told me to come in to get monitored. The contractions had slowed down around 2 pm but they were still happening. When I went in I only had one contraction that hour. So, I was sent home and told to drink water and lay down for an hour when these occur. I can drink water easily but laying down for an hour isn't something I can just do at work. Leaving work to lay down at home isn't really optional either. It would take 2 hours out of my day if I drove30 mins home, lay down for an hour and then 30 mins back to work.
So for now, I am keeping an eye on this and taking it easy where I can.

So here my 32 week belly! Its growing quite a bit!

I caught June Bug dancing in the belly tonight :)

Super Valentine's Day!

Potty training has been going well! Today Jace actually pooped in the potty! YAY!!!!!
He was VERY freaked out about which was kind of funny but he did it!!!
He still doesn't quite tell us when he needs to go all the time but he is getting there.

I made Jace's Valentine shirt - I love it because it can be worn more than just on Valentine's Day!

Such a sweet valentine!

I saw some cute super hero valentines on Pinterest.

This pregnancy seems to be flying by!
Already 24 weeks!

Jace said the other day "Bebe in der" and pointed to my belly.
That took me by surprise! :) Maybe he kind of gets it?
Then he proceeded to sit on me and play with my belly LOL

Yesterday some family from Louisiana came to visit.
It was great to see everyone! Some I had not seen since I was pregnant with Jace!
They also brought some King Cake! YUM!!!!!

Jace and Pawpaw playing while Sara watched.

John John finally got to meet Baby Jace! :)
They had a little dance off

Saying bye to John John and the rest of the family.

Happy New Year from the Bryans!!

We went to Lexington this weekend to bring in the New Year!
Friday night we went to Papa's house to watch the UFC fight.
Lincoln had some Elmo slippers there and Jace LOVED them!

He calls Elmos "Melmo"

Only in Lexington on the backroads can you catch Jace's driving
He LOVES to drive the truck with Daddy.
We went looking for ducks on uncle Nathan's tank but didn't see any so we went fishing instead :)
(didn't catch any fish either )

New Years Eve was a little low key for us. It was nice!
Spent the evening with our precious baby boy and then sat around a fire at the barn.

We bought some fireworks especially for Jace.
They had a little bag of small fireworks that didn't pop much and is perfect for the little guys!

The bag had sparklers, smoke balls, popper that you throw, tanks and a snake.

Daddy lighting a sparkler

Not too sure about the sparkler.......but he LOVED the poppers that you throw!!

I thought for sure he would not like the poppers but he proved me wrong big time!
He loved them so much he kept asking "want?" because he wanted more.

When we ran out he was SO upset!
Daddy carrying him back inside - he was upset but still said "cheese" for the camera LOL

Jace got a 1st Trampoline from JoJo.
I thought Jace was going to have nothing to do with it.
He has always hated bounce houses or anything with enclosures but that WAS all before surgery.
Its pretty neat to see him be a normal toddler and LOVE his "Jump"!

We wonder what his doctors would think about him being on a trampoline with it being only a little past a month since surgery....? They DID say to treat him like a normal kid.....so we are ;)

This was the first day he had the trampoline and the next day he got better at jumping.
I didn't get a video of it - I was having too much fun watching him having fun!

Trey and Keely came by to play with Jace and after watching Trey ride on the 4 Wheeler Jace was interested in it again. He finally gets the idea that he has to keep his foot down on the pedal to go!
This was so exciting too!
Before surgery he was not interested in his 4 wheeler at all and didn't understand to keep his foot down.

He would drive.....point to where he wanted to go......then start going in that direction :)

We came home last night and it was nice to sleep in our beds :)
The barn is comfy but out beds at home are the BEST!

I woke up this morning just a little bit after Jace woke up walked into his room to find this mess....

Powder Play.........or mess

And......today marks Week 18 for June Bug......the belly is getting bigger and baby is moving a lot!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

I LOVE this Christmas song! I will have to say its my favorite!
What makes it even sweeter this that little girl's precious voice!

We had Christmas with The Bryan's on Friday night. As little space as there is for all of us we all seemed to manage and the kids had a blast! :)
Look at this mess they made!!!

Justin and I did not win aunt or uncle of the year. With all the surgery stuff going on we were not told about us buying for the nieces and nephews. We showed up empty handed yet Jace was given 2 gifts! :(
We felt so bad but the younger kids had no clue and the older kids understood.
Next year we will have to communicate better ;)

Conley wearing his brother's new boots! :)
How is he so big already?!
Everyone is getting too big too fast!

On Saturday we had Christmas with Justin's sister and her family. It was fun and the food was delicious!
Shelby and Jordan are getting so big and mature! They are sweet young ladies!
After the past weekend with my parents, The Bryan's and Justin's sister, Jace made out like a bandit!

Santa came to our house!!
Some of the gifts are Jace's from family.....actually the big gifts are from family! LOL

The best gift under the tree is that step stool.....hand made by Santa's elf "JB" ;)

All of us in our Christmas Eve PJ's!

Time to open up gifts!!

Jace LOVES tearing open gifts!!!
He doesn't really seem to care what is wrapped but that it has wrapping!

Christmas Carnage!

After playing for a little bit we all sat down to watch The Lion King!

Cuddling with Mommy!

JB enjoying the movie too

Jace got a Tricycle from his Aunt Mitty and Uncle Zane.....

John Deere Camera - say CHEESE!!

Merry Christmas!!!
Happy Birthday Jesus!
